OK. The NSFA means "Not Safe for ANYTHING!"
The photo in the following story is not safe for work, lunch, dinner, your stomache in general or for children... or some adults for that matter... Granted, I've seen much worse on the 'net, but better safe than sorry :D

The photo can be found by following this link and going to the 3rd story.

"think you're having a bad day?"

This is an actual emergency room photo of a fisherman who lost control of his high-speed bass boat in West Virginia. Wardens believe that he was traveling at a speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident. He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway. Unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline and being ejected from the boat he landed back end first on an old fence post. You can probably picture what happened next, but the attached picture really says it all. The good news is that after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage. Doctors credited his recovery to the fact that the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss. Now that's got to hurt!!!

Whether it is a real photo or isn't, the story behind it has been a subject of debate since 2004:

Typically stories like this that have multiple versions end up being nothing but hoaxes. And a lot of them contain photos that have been edited by someone that has far too much time on their hands.

I seen that photo last year on a different site( I think it was a welding forum),and they said it was an iron worker who was walking a beam and fell and landed on a wooden post.

Brokeback Fencepost!

Well how I'ze heard it was, these two cowboys from the Brokeback Ranch were driving along the happy trail, when suddenly that Eagles song, Desperado came on the Radio in the pickup.
Well as soon as they heard that line in the song that goes ...." your out riding fences " the two cowboys looked at each other, and they each said " I owe you a coke " because they both had the same idea, being that they were driving along a dusty road with nothing but miles of fence posts on both sides as far as the eye could see.

Well the one driving slammed on the breaks, and his big buddy ran as fast as he could over to the first fence post he could find , and well , thats the origin of that picture.

And thats the real story!

Well Ralph,

I've gotta hand it to you... That's the most fruitful of all versions I've heard so far.
