Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Sunny, brisk, and full of rainbows!

Good afternoon all,

Spent the better part of my day fishing a local stream. Was a bit nipply out when I clicked on my truck from my bedroom window, and the wind was HOWLING! Thought today might be better spent in front of the tube, however it WAS sunny out so i opted to fish anyway, despite the gail force winds.

Got to the spot, rigged up and head down to the river. First cast a nice 'bow came up for my strike indicator. Damn, should have put a stimulator on!

WHACK, got the first 14-15'' 'bow on a REALY buggy hares ear.

I then proceeded to land a handful more, catching them on everthing from a wooly bugger to a caddis pupa.

Depsite the chilly 49 degree water, the fish were extremely active and were full of piss and vinegar! Almost every fish took drag!

As I landed the 4th fish, my camera decided to take a swim!!! AHHHH! So, that was the end of the picture taking! And msot likely my camera. Have not turned it on yet. :(

ALL were bows except one rogue brookie.

Enjoy the pics! I will be out tommorow as well! Heading back up in the area of the E.B. of the Swift. cell is 862-268-0321 if you want to meet up. Text me, I have free texting.

TIGHT LINES!

Hey Simms it turns out that it's too long of a drive for me because it will interfere my "family issues". I'M PISSED. Have to opt for a local stream like the Wood River or something else in my area. Unless we can find a spot closer to RI, I think we're just gonna have to plan for another time. Thursday is a possibility for me. If we can't find a closer spot towards RI, let me know how you did and I'll do the same.

What state was this in? The brookie looks big. I am guessing the river is stocked, but wanted to ask before I concluded that they are stockies.

I know they are stocked tho. Just obvious. But big fish.

What kind of reel is that? Looks awesome.

Thanks bud. Its a GLoomis Cross Current. I have always had ROSS evolution reels, however I decided to give this line a try. Bought the 3wt edition and 6wt. I love them. Drags are great, large arbor and the 6wt handles chrome domes with ease. They are a reel worth checking out.

Golden Beetle, fish were caught in Mass.

Nice Job but whats up with that Mutant Rainbows lower jaw. The thing looks like a cross breed between a Bow and an Oscar Fish! One thing I hate is to see a hatchery fish with genetic issues released to a nice river. It's a problem just waiting to explode.......:beingsick:
Take care of that leg dude.....
