Sulphurs...

I was fishing a secret spot between Califon and High Bridge this evening.....there were a lot of other anglers there...then they all left except me, my buddy, and two other dudes.....

There was a pretty decent hatch of suphurs tonight...only wild fish would rise, and only after the bugs were hatching heavy for a bit of time....brought a few to the net, and they all looked like this...


Wild and feisty...this one jumped a couple times....
All fish were caught on Grobert's mayfly emerger fished in the film....except for the one I got sub-surface before the hatch started...same fly with a sinker...

Went back to the "secret spot" between Califon and High Bridge tonight.....same thing happened, a bunch of anglers, no risers...then the sun started going down and everyone left, except me, my buddy and one old timer......again only wild fish would rise, only saw three fish rising....took two before it got too dark and a drop of booze beckoned.....fish were taken on Grobert's soft hackle mayfly emerger in the film.....

Nicely done.
I've ben fishing the soft hackle sulphur for the last few outings. Brookies and browns have been tearing them up.
