Mark,
You the man!!!
you know I love your soft hackles :hubbahubba:
One day i hope to grow up to be just like you:punk:
Thanks for posting them bad boys and hope to see you soon.:victory:

Thanks Allen,
I've been admiring your wet flies as well. Do you fish the Broadhead Creek a lot?

I'm interested in it, historically as it was Leisenring's home waterway, I believe. I'm sure it has changed much since his day.

Hi Mark,

I started fishing the Brodheads on my own at the age of 10 and never stopped. This is my home stream and I love it as the fishing and the multitude of hatches that occure there are as good as it gets. And to answer your question I fish it alot along with all of our local streams as I am able to fish every day. No matter where I go or where I end up the Brodheads will be with me as I caught my first trout on a fly there and countless hundreds both wild and stocked trout since!!:)

Allen,
I have never had the opportunity to fish there, but I also understand the "creeks " historical importance. Not many fly fishermen know that the area has as much to do with fly fishing history as does the Catskill area of New York.

You are a lucky fishermen to be on such good water.

Mark ,
If you have a chance some time and are down this way I would be more than happy to show you arround. The Brodhead is a great stream and has under gone many changes even in my life time. And still posses a great challange even to the most experienced fly fisherman. And yes this stream has a firm grip on it's place in fly fishing history. I have been fortunate to fish with some of the greats that have fished these waters over the years and learn much from each one of them.

are you using large eye hooks with these? could be the zoom tbo, just checking. Im just starting with fly tying

Hi,
The hook on the first fly is a 3399A by Mustad (one of their standard hook line). The eye on this hook is a ring-eye type. The second fly is tied on a Daiichi #1530. The last fly is on a Grip 14723BL. As far as I know, these hooks are regular fly hooks, and are not over-sized or large eye hooks.

MARK,

i appreciate it. Very nice flies, I have zero experience in using soft hackles, or flymphs *very nice article*, but I will be adding them to my collection immediately, along with czech nymphs.
