You need to see what causes the sound and remove it. Most times it is just a small piece that does nothing but create sound. It was very easy to do with my Ross reels.
There are two pawls inside the reel frame. I think you can just turn them both so the flat side faces the center post of the reel but I'm not 100% sure that will silence it.
