Seber Dam removal riparian planting help needed Saturday

I'm looking for a few good backs to help plant a small area where we removed the Seber dam in Hackettstown on Saturday morning from 8 am until 9 or 10ish. This should go quickly if we can get some help, far less than 1/8 acre. I am trying to get a buddy's Bobcat up and running in time to spread the dirt that is dumped on site. If not, we will have to spread it by hand.

If you can come out, please PM me or call my cell at 201-230-3383. Bring gloves, shovel and rakes as we will not have access to the North Jersey RC&D trailer that you are all used to seeing at our planting sites. Plant for 2 hours and fish the rest of the day. The Musky gets stocked tomorrow, so there'll be plenty of fresh 'bows.

Meet at Seber dam site at 8 am. Seber Road is off Willow Grove (rt. 604) just below the Hackettstown Hospital on the opposite side of the road. Walk back to the river and there we are. Or you can come in on the opposite side and wade across the river. Great way to help the river and get some fishing in afterward! Feel better about yourself, come on out and volunteer:)

I didn't hear any mention of free beer, the usual Brian Cowden offer sweetener......sorry I will be hiking Parker Brook, and then going to see the pseudo "DEAD" in NYC, otherwise I would lend a hand.

sorry not this time.....any other day but my first dead show....and of course it happens to be without jerry and bill.:down:

Sorry Brian,
Also going to the Dead show at the Garden.

Kindanewbie, Since it's your first show I'll give you a little advice I've learned over the years.
Stay away from the brown acid:lol:
And you'll see a lot of this:smokelots:
Brian how did that weir we installed work. Is it still in place?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I ain't skeered! I used to do five or six shows every phish tour....I've seen a few things meself!

I was fortunate that I caught on in time to see about a dozen shows in the last couple years before Jerry died. The dead were an American institution for more than thirty years - glad I didn't miss it.

If anyone cares to take a stroll down memory lane, this site is great:

Still in place and working OK. We haven't had the hard rains we need to make a difference, but we are working on some new funding to get back in the river and do a bunch more restoration work at the site.

Pray for Scarlet/Fire :)
