Scientific Anglers System X Flie Boxes

A Polinger

Just finished a River Runs Through it!
Does any one use the System X flie boxes? If you do what do you like and dislike about it. It looks like a nice system but Im not sure.

Thanks.

I've got one (the dry/nymph style). I like it fine, the double sided feature is a nice space saver. And I have dropped it more than once in the drink. It kept the water out the way it's supposed to.

Thanks,
I have been lookiong at them for some time and I am thinking about getting one of the standard to use for dry flies.

These SA System Boxes one of the best purchases I have made so far. I have two, one for wet and the other for the dries. The foam holds the flies in place, and the see through lids make fly selection a snap. I plan on purchasing the suitcase soon to hold extras.

I have been using the C&F fly boxes for a while (C&F is owned by SA) and they have the same material for the foam on the inserts. Since I really like the slits for the flies in the C&F's, I took a razor blade and cut my own slits in the SA System fly boxes. Works very well and saves the foam and some bucks, too. Also, you can space the slits to the size of flies you will be using.
