River Conditions ?

Ang

Just finished a River Runs Through it!
I can get out for a few hours on Saturday A.M., does anyone think that the Delaware will be fishable in the Lambertville, Stockton area yet? Or do I have a better shot at say Stoney Brook for trout off of Rt. 31?
I don't want to go all the way out there if it is still too high.
Thanks.

I just checked the flows from the USGS. The Pepacton must be spilling over the dam.The E.B. is sky high and climbing. With the W.B. also quite high the Main Stem might be unwadeable.

The stony brook flow may be wadable, but at that flow it'll be quite churned up! I am debating bwtween the stony brook or floating the canal. THe canal is very rarely impacted by rain! only at certain pints will trail run off make the water a little off-color. I was on a canal dock casting, one lure, for about and hour............. one LM and one nice sized rock bass! Looks like they finished spawning and are spreading out again!

The D is toast by Lambertville. I can walk 100 yards to the water from my girls house. The canal is muddy too. Stony brook is my childhood stream and its ashame but it really sucks this year. I dont think they even stocked it this year except for a few roadside hole dropoffs. I would head to Flemington and or above to fish. I guess I am following my advice here in a couple hours. Good luck,
Dave
