Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Photo Help

NJpatbee

Can be found on NJ/NY/PA waters!
Ok, now that I have a new Cannon Powershot SX120 IS with a macro feature I wanted to add a post with pictures - realized I had no idea how to . Can someone point me to instructions? Also, any recommended reading on how to take good shots of flys (lighting, distance, etc.)?

Thanks

a) open an account at photobucket.com
b) use Photobucket's big blue tab to upload from your computer to their storage (that's the easy part)
c) you will cut and paste computer code from Photobucket into the window on NEFF where you are posting. There is a square w/ a mountain in it that says "insert image". after the popup window appears paste in the link that Photobucket supplies. be mindful that you don't use "http://" twice. (you would think that you would want to directly paste in your photo, but you are actually just pasting in computer code that points to your photo on Photobucket's server)

looking forward to seeing your work!

BTW, one of the biggest issues you'll run into is STORING all your digital photos. Be prepared for:
- photo manager software that will allow you to easily rename batches of pics, tag pics w/ secondary info, quickly sort through the hundreds of pics you'll accumulate. Picassa comes to mind.
- addtional storage space. you won't be paying for prints any longer, but you will be paying to digitally archive all the pics of the inside of your vest and your trunk.
- backup, backup, backup. learn how to burn CD's or DVD's immediately. go out and get a 100 pack. make sure every photo that you want to keep is in 2 locations! in the future you might consider a seperate drive, like the WD Passport or WD MyBook.Desktop Overview
