Hi, I am planing a trip for this summer and don't Know of a lot of good trout streams in New York and I was wondering if anyone could help me out by mentioning a few of them. I am looking for stream within walking distance from a campground and is full of browns and rainbows (I don't care if there stocked or wild fish). Thanks for the help.

Ms. Mith 14:

I would venture to say the Adirondacks is the place you should key in on.

I live in Wayne County by the cost of Lake Ontario so any where there is a good trout stream closest to there. But if I have to drive a little ways for a better stream im all in.

You are in luck.

You're right, I never noticed where he was standing. I like fishing on the downside of those falls. For the brookie fan, it is loaded with them behind just about every other rock in 8"-10" of water in the riffle water below the 2nd bar of rocks on the left side. It's rather cool.

Man I love the Ausable, can't wait to get back up there. Chris, when you find out the dates of the 2 fly, let me know, I might try to make it up this year.
