New To The Forum

this ol boy needs a mentor
I am new to the Forum. My first fly fishing experience was three years ago with my brother in law, I caught one brown on a dry fly and have been a fanatic ever since. Every time since, I have fished alone as I have yet to meet other fly fisherman from my area to hook up with. I have spent many hours reviewing internet articles and online video in an effort to improve my skills. I fish the Esopus and Rondout/Beerkill and upper Beaverkill and Willo mostly (as I live in Ulster County) and have not made a fishing acquaintance as of yet. I very much enjoy fishing alone but I am left to learn only from my own mistakes, not havinig someone along to make suggestions. If there is someone out there who could suggest a Mid-Hudson region fly fishing group where I might meet others with a similar interest, I would be grateful for the knowledge. I am reluctant to post basic questions on this fourm as they would be tedious for the rest of you. I am hoping to find a mentor on this forum who could answer questions when they arise. Any volunteers? So, while I love fishing alone, I would like to have something to compare it to. I think it would help me grow as an angler.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
