new post indicators

Any idea why the new post indicators don't seem to work for me? I'm running WinXP Pro with IE 6.0.

No biggee, just weird. I don't have this problem on some other MBs that I frequent.

Please elaborate. I'm not sure what you mean because you were able to post the message I'm now replying to? Is it only in certain places? Try this... place your mouse over the "New Thread" icon and right click. Then choose, "Open link in new Window". Highlight the address line and cut and paste it to a message so I can try the link myself. It may not be a problem with you, but with the software I'm using.

I think it is the get new button at the top the screen next to user cp. I never seemed to get it to work either.

What JasonM said. Get new doesn't work and the indicators at the left margin of each forum are supposed to turn yellow (or gold) when a new, unread post is in that forum. (at least that's the way most MBs work) but they are always dark.

Not a big deal, just curious if it was my system and "cookie" settings maybe being too restrictive. A automobile message board I frequent uses the same software, or so it seems, and the indicators work fine there.

Ok, I've checked it out and will look into it. It's a nice feature to have if I can get it to work properly. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. Thanks for the observation.
