Too many streams too little time
I was able to get out for a few hours Friday evening and hit a few pocono streams. The cool weather had the water in the upper 50s down almost 10 degrees fro mute previous week. Finally saw hatches that are normal for this time of year. ISOs, sulphuric, good sized cahills and Cahill spinners that looked like small drakes they were so white. Of course there were also caddis. Plenty of rising fish on a section of a stream I had not fished in quite some time. I started with an ISO emerger and the fish were happy to oblige. Steady action until about 9:30 at night. Switched over to a spotlight ISO spinner and the fish were still happy to eat it. I'm seeing a good number of rainbows in addition to the Browns that normally occupy this creek. Picture is of a nice 17 inch bow that jumped twice and made my reel sing a couple of times. When the sun dropped it was pretty cool out and the spinners were coming down like rain in spots. Fun time. Hope the weather cooperates and we can get one more evening out before it's too warm to fish the freestone creeks.
