Got out on the Little Lehigh on Sunday. At first I thought it was going to be a bust, but the trout gods smiled on me. First round was around 06:00. Big sulfur hatch was going on by the time I got to my spot. Oddly enough, nothing was rising. Fished for about 2 hours without even a riser. I figured it was getting on time to bug out when they started to rise. I figured, oh hell one more cast. Bang, nailed a nice Brownie. Let him go and the very next cast, bang, another. Lost that one, but there was some action. All told, in the morning I ended up hooking two nice size Brownies and missing about four. I figured it was going to rain a bit that night, so I wanted to get out ahead of the weather. Got back down to the creek around 18:00. Hit the same spot as the morning. Didn't look to be too much activity. Talked to a bait guy down stream from me. He wasn't having any luck and said nothing was jumping. I asked if it was ok if I go about 25 yards upstream from him, he said it didn't matter he wasn't having luck anyhow. First cast, bang! Nailed about a 16 inch Brownie! By dark, I nailed about three Brownies and missed quite a few. After all was said and done, I had a pretty good day. Hoping the same luck comes to me this weekend.
Cheers!
