Only pictures can describe how beautiful the day was on the river.
I took a nap in the HydeLowRider vessel, just down river from head of th Junction Pool, for two hours. Woke up, and drifted on down.
The next to last pool I stopped at is pictured above.
I watched this guide and his client attempt to hook a few intermittent risers between them and the bank. Very tough day, leaves in the water, few flies and sunny day. The trout would break a few times, then nothing for many minutes if at all. The cast had to be made ASAP in a good spot (Experience on the river is the only way to know where to position the fly. Hardened Delaware fly fisherman know the drill).
While they were watching and casting into the pool, I took a few photos to capture the moment.
After they picked up their anchor and drifted below, I rowed up river, and slid into a better position and whacked a few Brownies on an BWO emerger -- actually a Compara Emerger with a shuck.
It worked like a charm.
Hope you Flyfishing junkies enjoy.
I need to go up there again, maybe November if the weather is not too nasty.
