Cast Drys over them Enough They Will Rise
My Brother and I were at the Show today and decided to get something to eat and Low and behold Joe Humphries walks in -- All 84 yrs of him. I recognized him right away and we started talking with him. My cousin then walked in and Joe invited the 3 of us to join him. What a GREAT AWESOME AND HUMBLE man he is. For anyone who doesn't know who Joe Humphries is, He was the Professor at Penn State University who taught the College Credit Ellective fly fishing and fly tying course. The only one that I know if in the country. His course taught Entomology, Reading Water, Tying Flies, Casting, Leader tapers and how to tie them, etc. etc. etc.

It was the highlight of the Show -- I read all of his books when I was child and to meet this man in person to me was one of the greatest things that could have happened. I cant tell you how kind and respectful he is. His humbleness was very gratifying to say the least. The stories he told us were not only entertaining but they also showed what kind of man and Fly fisherman he truely is.

Was truely and honor to me.

Actually he offered to buy my meal. He said “I know you. Your Tomfly, you invented the case caddis. I am a big admirer of that fly”. I said yea I get that every where I go; by the way don’t tell anyone I am at the show I want to stroll around incognito.

This icon of a man, who in part, helped you on your lifetime fly fishing journey, had to pay for your meal...

As if he hadn't done enough for ya already...

And I bet you guys hit 'em up for free advice, too. Did he have to give you any secret spots?

The name is Joe's nickname that he acquired over there at Penn State. Old Humpy. It's a fact. I mean, facts are facts.

I see no need to answer you. You have your preconceived notions on what transpired. At this point If I said yes I did pay , you would call me a liar. If I said no you would say I am a Dbag. Win win situation for you. The question you should be asking yourself is; why do I care?

If YOU said YOU paid, I'd believe it. We all know your brother didn't pay...

Of course, as I'd do with EVERYONE, I'd have to call "Old Humpy" for confirmation... as well as the waiter who took the check...
 
Thanks for reminding me to go back and read some of Humphries' writings! He fished some tough waters and is master of the techniques required to be successful on waters like the central PA limestoners.

Whe the Jerk Off stops personally attacking me I wil chill --- Until then every time he personaly attacks me I will come back at him -- Im not going to take his Bullshit although I will call him out on it. I ignored his Bullshit for over a year when i first joined this site -- figureing he would just stop trying to fuck with me I never did anything to this Jerk Off -- Well Enough is enough -- I'm not going to sit back and let this asshole say whatever he wants to say to me or about me anymore.

Thats because I'd answer those questions just for you to ask the same 2 questiond again just worded differently. You really need to stop following me around this site because it's getting rather boring --- Your DUMB ASS bullshit makes me believe you never left the 6th grade. My advice to you is go seek ot counciling with a very good psychiatrist. It may actually do you a world of good. Then again the psychiatrist may need to get counciling after talking with you because he wouldn't believe that any 1 person coud be as fucked u oin the head as you are

He is a good guy, and a personal friend of mine.
