What are these ass-clowns going to do with 80 pounds of fish? I can't imagine that fish that size taste that good coming out of those lakes either. Even if you smoke them, thats alot of fish.

It really hurts watching that beautiful brown die..... I guess 80 lbs of salmon isn't enough for this guy

Mmm spawned-out dark salmon. Might as well go to the grocery store for your fish.

Yes, but then how would you get your daily allowance heavy metals, PCBs, and other assorted industrial wastes with which to spawn future generations of half-witted, redneck fry, to someday grow up and do the same thing? See, the circle of life unfolds before you.

your all missing the point, It not every day you get to eat salmon laced with a hint of sewage from the bottom of the port-a-john. Gives it a earthy, taste with a hint of Scott 2 ply

Do you know how many tons of assorted species of industrial waste laden fish have made their way from Lakes Ontario and Erie down 81 and 17 to the booming megalopolis over the years?

(kinda explains the driving habits down there, if you ask me)

I wish someone had checked the "goonies" licenses for an address...

;)

I think those two retards were eyeing up the porta john to use as a fishing vessel for a float trip. scenes like that are exactly why I would rather catch small wild brookies and browns where I am the only one in the stream, than be a part of that circus. quite frankly i'd rather catch nothing than be a part of that. i have been asked by friends many times to fish during that run and have always envisioned a scene like that which has confounded my fears and validated my thoughts in declining such invitations. those guys reminded me of clips that I have seen posted by the Ol' master.

This all further goes to prove 2 absolutes; people are insane, and people will eat anything. I've seen guys taking giant carp home from the Passic River, with huge smiles on their faces. I've asked them how they taste, and the response is "if you cook it right, its really good". I don't eat anything you need to "cook right" first. You can put whipped cream on shit, its going to look better, but I'm still not going to eat it.

TT,

Youre right...Id rather stay home and catch 4'' brookies that are more willing to eat than a street corner hooker. NOT. You should to come up sometime. There is nothing like swinging a size 4 or 6 egg sucking leech and having a monster steelie or brown WAFFLE IT! Its AWESOME! Sure, its a god damned circus. I am in the middle of it every year, nothing you can do to avoid it. Only place to avoid the crowds and be welcomed with SCORES of steelies and browns, is the WAY UPPER Fly Zone...Its a baton death march getting there, (up the river abiding by the easements) but its worth it. spent two days there this past weekend, and i honeslty saw NO OTHER fishermen. It was AWESOME.

Ill spend a few hours over the entire weekend just sitting there and observing the goons. Its hysterical. You should really come up and give it a shot...Its a lot more challenging than catching a wild trout on a dry.

wait a second, I just watched two retards with 100 lbs of fish tied to tree.....and this is somehow challenging? fishing in a parking lot? challenging? If you say so.... I am sure catching a giant brown or steelie is a ton of fun, but not under those circumstances. You can keep it. The upper fly zone sounds a bit more realistic.

I didt not mean catching Salmon..Anyone can snag mudsharks... I meant swinging flies or sacks for steelies or browns... The UPER FLY ZONE can be a circus at times..anyone and put flyline on a reel...However, like I said, if you abide by the easements, and put your hiking shoes on, the UPPER end of the upper fly zone and fishermen-less, and more fish than youll ever need...

Experiencing the circus is part of fishing up there during this time. Nothing like seeing a guy walk up to you in tevas, with a plano tacklebox, and a fly rod...HAHHA

Hope your not swinging sacks in the fly zone.:)

No no BHC,

Course not. Only time I swung sacks this past weekend was in the ball park. It was the only place on the river (and the lowest I fished) that did not produce anything on flies. Perhaps the clarity of the water had something to do with it. On Friday it was chocolate milk down there.

Saw two people get canned for sacks in the LFZ though. Stupid bastards. DEC was all over this weekend. One guy even thought bringing 3 fish up to the truck and coming back to claim more was legal. :looser:
