Golden Emerger Flymph

Soft-hackle

Wet fly fisherman.
Hi, Thought I'd post another flymph pattern that has worked well for me. The recipe has been added to the database.

What's this? :hubbahubba: Something actually about fly fishing! Thanks for sharing. Looks deadly.

Superb tie Mark the trout will really love them as they are swinging by !! I use soft hackles when the slate drakes are arround and there is nothing going on on the surface. Only one word deadly!

Thanks for the pattern and great fly. The soft-hackles have been especially productive for me this season.

Me too. In fact they are the basis for my fly selection. I do fish other wets, nymphs and dries, but the wingless wets are just about my mainstay.

Especially during this time of year, that fly is automatic! I go a shade or two lighter in the body during sulphur time.

I think perhaps this fly might be more suitable for the sulfur emerger. Also my sulfur soft-hackle, Snipe and Yellow or my Li'l Dorothy works well, too when the are of the dorothea variety.
