I would say, check the state's website for stocking locations. Right in the city, there's Jamaica pond, which holds some nice trout. You can rent boats there, too. Also, Houghton's pond in MIlton is nice. For moving water, you need to head west or north, or to the cape, which has a few sea run brookies and browns, and of course, lots of stripers. Also, some nice kettle ponds. Depending on time of year, each location has it's pros and cons. For winter fishing, the Swift is the ticket, only sizeable real tailwater in the state, or the cape ponds, some of them, being spring fed, don't freeze. Also, Scorton creek, which holds sea run browns, holds fish all winter, including stripers.
