Finally saw a Hendrickson here today.

Who guessed the 4th or was closest?

to be fair- my dad hit a heavy hatch of them on the upper river last sunday/monday but I think it was an artificial flush of bugs due to the spillage. This year has been weird so far in that the bugs have been hatching in some spots but are not coming off in full blown numbers. Instead- they are coming off in short flushes that last 30min to an hr and then nothing aside from caddis that the fish ignore. Evenings haven't been bad though and its strange that the fish are acting like its june rather than early may. Thats part of the fun though- adjust and figure out the puzzle each season.

Let me be vey clear.....The Hendrickson's will hatch when I am not on the river.....I will be busy with chores, or home renovations, or work...
To help you all out, I will post when I am not able to fish so you can enjoy the hatch.......
