Favorite Stream in the World

Locally my favorite is the WB and no, I don't own a drift boat. I've waded and drifted it hundreds of times and I prefer to wade. But I could care less how one fishes that river so long as we all practice some simple etiquette.

But my real favorite river is a far western river full of huge, wild browns that readily swim a foot or more to each side to slurp dries. This river is special and one of a handful that remains somewhat secret; however, the internet is beginning to takes its toll even on this one which is fairly remote from major population centers. I'm hoping to fish it again next Sept. prior to TU's national mtg. in Bend, Oregon as it is a reasonable drive from that area. And that's as much as you'll get from me on name and location:devious:

Tough one for me. I fish the Big D because I love it but if the Henry's fork was 2 1/2hrs away, I think I'd have to choose that river. To date, they've got the baddest bad ass trout I've ever set a hook to.

of all the fish i lost in 2010, i recall a leaping rainbow trout on the henry's fork.

have you had the chance to explore other streams in that area? i hear that MT and WY have some spectacular fisheries, and am confused as to why you'd pick a stream in idaho rather than one in MT or WY.

Very tough to get to.

Large boulders to climb up over and around.

Plunge pool after plunge pool after plunge pool
fishing as you make your way up river.

But did you catch any fish, or did you kick back on one those rocks nude and think about GB?

That's a fuckin funny post, my friend. You got a laugh out of me. That is, until I understood the imagery and got a bit frightened. Then my nipples got hard.

Huh. What do y'all make of that?

My favorite is nothing more then a small WTS in NJ. Not many big fish, but some browns can push 18''. While there are plenty of hikers it was the place i first caught a wild trout on the fly and will forever be my favorite place full of memories.
