Deposit Boat Launch for 2009?

Does anyone know if the boat launch site at the Deposit Sewerage Treatment Plant will be open for 2009? Last year, as you know, this site was not available. Floating down from the dam turned out to be not very productive for me...

I last spoke to the Plant foreman in Deposit about a month ago.

At that time, the construction was ahead of schedule and he anticipated that the access would be open for the fishing season.

Good news, Jim! I just PMed OM that I thought it wouldn't be until next year ('10). Sounds like the plant foreman indicated they'd allow boats to put in - I'd heard last year that they were not sure if they would or not.

Great news, guys. And of course, the extra bonus you get from launching from the Deposit site is that you can usually find a can with a few worms left in it, just in case your favorite fly pattern comes up empty..

Hi,
You can launch at other places in town. Up near stillesville and across from the sewage plant my the norboard plant or at the DEC parking area by the Deposit's men club site. Not all official launch sites but with a little muscle should be ok. Good luck.............

Hi guys,

A more recent update on the launch and it is not the best news.

Weather and other things have slowed the pace of completion.

It is now anticipated that the fishing access will not be open until June or July.
