Delaware/ TU

Trout Hunter
Just received TU's magazine "Trout" and there is a lengthy article regarding the Delaware flows. It's worth reading.

Seems a lot of "major" flyfishing mags have run an article covering the upper delaware system and it flows this year. Of course it's both good and bad, more fisherman have been made aware of the problems but that also means more fisherman are tempted to find out what the fuss is all about and head to the Catskills.

Trout [The Magazine of Trout Unlimited] / Fall 2004 / "Seeking Solutions in the Catskills" by Morgan Lyle / page 30 / paragraph 2:

"Trout Unlimited's national staff and local volunteers hope the studies will lead to a long-term policy of steady cold water to all three of the blue-ribbon trout rivers downstream of the New York City reservoirs - not only the West Branch, which has historically boasted the biggest releases and the best fishing, but also the Neversink River and the Delaware's East Branch."

......................

What? No mention of the Upper Delaware River aka The Main Stem? Funny...it wasn't mentioned either in Rocci's speech at the 2004 DOD.

I mentioned this oversight to him after his talk this past summer.

Tight lines,

Nice Article,

Tony, you have the ability to post the article here. Can you get it done for all to read?

My computer skills are limited.
