FOR SALE BAMBOO ROD 7 1/2' 4wt 3/2 (ie 3 piece with 2 matching tips). I bought this rod from a pro restorer on eBay (Sierra rods) who restores vintage cane and turns vintage into beautiful and usable/fishable moderns rods. I bought this rod as an experiment to see if I like bamboo (I do!). Since purchasing this rod I have since ordered a custom bamboo rod. I have never fished this rod- it has only been lawn cast by me and the restorer. So please note: there is not a scratch on this rod nor any dirt or markings on the cork or reel seat. I had a rod sock custom made and purchased an aluminum tube. Both are included with the rod.

The rod is built from a eight and a half foot Montague that was reduced in length when all the ferrules were reset. We used the original ferrules with all other new components including a aluminum uplocking reel seat on a maple insert with tapered cork grip in "A" grade. The line guides, tip tops, stripper, and hookeeper are chromed stainless. The cane is finished with three coats of spar varnish and is wrapped in silver and black jasper. We lawn cast the rod and suggest four weight line the action is medium.
