Sage 8wt 99 blank/rod & Lamson Konic 2.0 reel/spool

I have a brand new in packaging Sage 8wt 99 series blank. It's another rod I thought I was going to build, but find it's just not necessary and would rather sell the blank than have it continue to sit in my closet. I built one of these in 5wt and use it exclusively when I nymph fish for trout. It is awesome at casting an indicator rig a single or multiple flies.


I will sell the blank for $250 shipped lower 48 states.


If you want it built into a custom rod, I'll do it for $350 shipped, but you will have to give me 2-3 weeks to build it. This price does not include a sock/tube. If you would like to see photos of other rods I have built, PM me.


I also have a Lamson Konic 2.0 (5/6wt) Reel and Spool that I have never used. I converted them to right hand retrieve but have never seen a fly line. I have the original boxes, reel pouches, instructions and warranty paperwork.

The 99’s unique taper loads lower on the blank to generate open loops, helping avoid tangles with multiple fly and indicator rigs. At the same time, a stiffer tip section handles heavy payload delivery but retains the sensitivity needed to detect subtle takes.
