hello gents,
I am looking to give this rod a home as i no longer have use for it. I bought it new from Orvis in November '12 and honestly could not be happier given the price of the rod and overall performance. However i took the plunge on a 4wt and could use the xtra cash at this point. For those unaware, Orvis released the Access as a high performance rod at an affordable price to sit between their entry level clearwater series and the almighty helios. these retail for $395 from orvis and the line goes for $60. the rod probably has half a dozen or so outings on it. the midflex model provides more flex near the butt section of the rod, allowing u to delicately place small flies while still maintaining enough back bone to turn over nymph rigs and play with streamers. ive landed everything from small wild fish to 10lb mutant stockers on this rod - each has been a joy. For those of unaware, this rod tips the scale at just 2-3/8 ounces which is ridiculously light based on comparisons ive made to other rods in its class.
I am including the Access Rod case, Access 5wt WF trout line, as well as the original ferrule wax and all the paperwork + fresh warranty papers.
