Not JUST critical of the Democrats, but critical of the very underpinnings of what the Democratic Party is supposed to be. Democrats are supposed to be "the solution" for the problems these men and others like them face. These men pose that it is the Democrats that ARE the problem. It is those who say they will help these men that are actually keeping them down. Are they wrong?

It seems to me that a standard bearer of the party and what the party "supposedly" stands for would find these men's claims, not only interesting, but disconcerting. He'd also have an opinion on the subject that he'd be anxious to share.

I think I have started one non fishing related thread in the last year or so. I generally post fisihing related content. My politics are far more diverse than what you read in a couple of threads. Even the global warnibg thread which I started I had made it a point to disparage republicans. While I lean to the right on fiscal issues Im center right on a range of topics and moderate on a few as well. Mainly I'm not a fan of government which has demonstrated incompetence in many levels across both parties. I don't think president obama is the antichrist and I think rush Limbaugh is a boob (I hope you smiled at that one) I think there is income inequality and I think we have developed an entitlement mentality at the same time. I just domt think the federal government has the solution. I favor immigration reform but not a free pass to those who cam illegally. I don't want a fence built but clearly we can't go on in our current situation.

I grew up lower middle class in nj and my dad taught in Newark for 26 years. He used to bring us to summer school with him so we understood how blessed we we were and how difficult many people have it.

It's easy to look at a persons views from a few threads and asume you have that person figured out. I think we all do that to some degree. Personally I think you are hysterical and remind me of Jon Stewart..the funny one not the boob on this site. I think we also do a great job of seeing the flaws in other peoples views without seeing the flaws in our own views. That's also human nature so no surprise really.
