Some asked where the last video (March 29th) was filmed on Upper D. It was above Barryville, 2 miles below Lackawaxen Junction.

Here is the April 2nd fishing trip. Small stream, Neversink and Rio River (Mongaup)

And stop posting details about piss trickle's that are so small that prehistoric man could club a fucking brookie to death for a week straight to feed his mongoloid family. Those places can't absorb the pressure and u continually do this. For what reason I don't know- how much can u charge to get someone to rock hop a piss trickle with u as u tell the cast any fly imaginable into the only pool a trout could possibly hide in over the past 1 mile of stream bed?

Where is the tree with the sign on it in the "secret spot"? That tree has a nice burl on it. I could make some nice reel seats and a few net handles out of that Gem. That tree was the only thing I found to be remotely bearable in that riveting piece of videography.

The beaver strikes again. Monotone rambling of nothing important or interesting, complaining of the conditions and lack of fish caught [big surprise there!] and burning spots like he's getting paid for it. Happy to see he at least didn't name one though, but that must be because its were he likes to fish. Maybe Beaver you could translate that philosophy to all the other places you need to openly promote, its possible others feel that way about those favorite spots!

I know this wont discourage you from filming all the brook trout streams in NY, as well as providing road names, trail heads and GPS coordinates to them, but there is always the hope that in the near future you will be adjusting your camera, slip in and hit your brainless head on a rock, go under and become crayfish food. Sometimes I get the feeling something in Mac's life is making him grumpy, and he takes it out on one of us. Maybe this is one of those weeks? Reminds me of the schoolyard bully, or at least one of his henchmen who looks to get a few lumps in when it seems safe.

Anyway, I generally think people are too paranoid about spot-burning, but in this case, I agree Beaver goes too far. I actually like his videos for some reason, but I also think people shouldn't methodically record every detail of their fishing trips to waters that would be quickly ruined by additional pressure.

Definitely a "useful" post........I'm not going to comment on Mac, but I will say, it isn't "spots" that we should be burning....I'm with ddluver on this one....

Me and the beev have a little history. You see, he likes to promote informing total strangers about stomping around in places they would otherwise never know about, in the name of keeping the depressed Roscoe/L.M./ Neversink valley from going bankrupt. His take on it is this...if he can get every internet lurker on the planet to go to these secluded, fragile and previously light traffic areas, the flow of money from all these new anglers will keep the B&B's, Fly Shops, Diners and Hotels in business. He said so on another forum!

My first impression of him was that he is a guide trying to drum up business, but after forcing myself to endure a few of the movies, seeing all his hours on the stream spooking fish and not catching anything, breaking his rods and falling in, I then assumed he was mentally retarded and just didn't know any better.

I mentioned to him that while he is free to do whatever he wants despite what guys like me think, he fell back on his "good for the economy" theory. In closing I reminded him that with increased traffic comes more dead trout and more litter, and he blamed that on campers!

So, while I am typically a gentle, happy soul, this guy is the one person I wish a meteor from space would land on. CJ
