Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Another try...

A fan of Boobery
An attempt at Lady Amherst...I have never met her, but after our first interaction, I think she is a bit of a bitch....
I hope this gets easier eventually.....better results, but a struggle to say the least.....damn pheasant crests, and wings like this are the most difficult things I have tried at the vise....I am looking forward to tying for the swap, as I can crank soft hackle PTs out in my sleep...I almost stuck my scissors in my eyes on purpose....there is always tomorrow!!!!!

and it ain't that good.....this one will get the razor. I will re-use the hook!!!!

I think I should have made the wing a bit lower in profile..to match the tail..then the topping would have lined up properly, no?

I don't even try to tie salmon flies, but I think you are getting there.........it looks usable that's for sure.

Looking good. A flat nosed plier helps in tying feather wings. Squash the stems at the tie in point before tying them down. Don't razor the fly. Keep it so you can check your progress. Soak your crests in warm water for an hour then lay them on a piece of glass until they dry. They will regain their shape. Then brush them lightly with your fingers to make The barbules cascade down nicely.

Yes...that was tied on bozo hooks......
Thanks for tips Mike......:)

I didn't cut it..I gave it to my friend Mr. B, who has a large collection of my flies.....
