There are a few different ways to post. The first being the little box at the bottom of the very last post of the thread you're viewing. By clicking, "Submit Reply", your message will be posted to the present thread.
The second way is by clicking on quote. This is located on the bottom right of each individual post. This will include the text from the particular post you would like reply to.
The third is by clicking 'New Thread', located on the upper right side of the 'Post Reply box'. When you click "New Thread", it will create a new thread only in the forum topic. If you scroll to the top of this thread, you'll see it says, "North Eastern Fly Fishing Forums > Tackle Box > Stuff for Sale! > Am i missing something?"
That means you were looking at someone else's post under the 'Stuff for Sale' forum and you clicked, "New Thread."
The best way to start a new thread is to click on 'FORUMS' located under the 'MAIN MENU'. Scroll down to the forum that best suits your new topic and click on it. When the forum opens, click on 'NEW THREAD'. That will ensure that your message gets posted under the correct topic.
Finally, the best way to reply to a thread is by clicking 'POST REPLY'. This button is located next to the 'NEW THREAD' button. By clicking on 'POST REPLY', this will allow you to attach images, display images located on another site, Post in BOLD, or Italics, or Underline, or even change the SIZE, COLOR, and the FONT. There is an option to have an email sent to you when someone reply's to the thread too!
