    Hendrickson Nymph Patterns

I've never fished the Hendrickson hatch and I will be fishing the Kettle Creek, PA, area in the spring. I have no patterns for the nymphs. Anyone care to give me some patterns or tell me where I can find some? I'd be very appreciative.

A Peek Into The Steelhead Box

How long does it take you to tie a dozen of those flies? Man they're beautiful. I don't know if I'd take a chance on losing them. When I tie a crummy nymph I don';t worry about losing a few because they're easy to tie, but those are like artwork.

    3/0 Black Ranger

Absolutely beautiful. I would never fish that fly. I'd put that in a shadow box and proudly display it. Very nice. Bruce

    7 1/2' nymphing leader formula

I use a 9' rod and the nymph leaders I build usually come out to 10' or more and I think they don't need to be that long. I fish the small to medium size streams of PA and I'm looking for a good 7 1/2' leader. Thanks, Bruce

Leader Design and Favorite Formulas--The Post You've Been Waiting For is Here at Last

Whew! This is making me dizzy, but I've learned some. Have I got this correct? 1. Fluorocarbon builds better nymph leaders because they're less drag resistant, thus sink quicker? 2. The lightest butt and mid-sections one can get away with will build a better nymph leader? It seems no matter...

    Midge Pupa, Sizes

I tie them in olive, tan, black, white and red. So far I've done the best with the olive and red. I agree the smaller sizes work the best. I never heard of Mercer's Midgeling.
