Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
About the copper zebra midge. Keep it simple. I do the best with thread, wire and bead on a hook. For those little larval patterns do make it too difficult. Midges tied in the round outproduce more difficult ties!

Nice tye. I don't care if you kept it simple or not. The best part is that it is a nice tye and will catch fish. After that details are in the eye of the beholder or in this case Tyer.
Today must be know-it-all Friday. Don't listen to any of these fools. That is a good tie, very similiar to Mike Mercers Midgeling, which works pretty damn well. You will probably catch fish with it, so keep tying variations of it (chartreuse works well also as a micro-caddis).
Ahhh this thread echos of familiarities to me lol. Tie and fish whatever you want. Trout are the true judge and this fly works. End of story. Nice tie, i am sure it will serve you well.
Here is Tim from tight line production tying this pattern. Listen to what Tim says in the beginning, it made me chuckle.
Again, agreed. My point is: IF you struggle with small pattern tying, don't stress over it. Tie the pattern simply and fish it with the confidence that it is AS effective as the more complex pattern.
