The Ken Lockwood Gorge was packed yesterday with people fishing and people "hiking." My guess is if government administrators saw the crowds, they would shut it down. The fishing was really good though. I had a lot of trouble locating fish through the winter, but the recent rains created great conditions and must have moved the fish to their usual spots. I'm also guessing that there may have been some overstocking because of the shutdown of state and county parks. I netted a ton of fish. They were stacked up in fairly slow moving water very near the bottom. I caught them on a size 16 Copper John with a trailing black Zebra Midge (18 with silver tungsten bead). The fish took both flys in about equal numbers. Here is one of the fish. Pretty healthy stockie.
