What you really need on a deployment

Thanks everyone! It's my pleasure to serve!

I will be heading to PA next weekend for a family reunion, so if I get my four day weekend I am going to fish a spring creek in the area on that Friday. Hopefully my new rod comes in time or I will be using my Smokies rod. My 8' Walter Babb should be done and in the mail by this weekend.

Not sure how long I will be home this time. It all depends on if I go to Alaska or back to the course I was in before. I will know by Christmas. The unit in Alaska is slated to go back late next year.

Thanks again to everyone for keeping me occupied during my deployment with all the great posts! I will have reports and pictures every time I head out. Here are some of he dries I tied to keep busy over there.

Haha. I already miss the tax free money. Getting deployed is overrated. There are plenty of people who hide from deployments still and we've been fighting for ten years now!
