Rivers are looking great for floating! I saw a post yesterday that they are pretty off-color though. :( It's good to see that the temps have come down a bit and the flows are awesome!

Stream report from yesterday 8/11
East Branch in Downsville-clearing

Willowemoc Creek-clear but high
Beaverkill-still muddy and high

That's what I saw when I was leaving. Yes, I went anyway because I wanted to get out of south Jersey even though I knew I probably couldn't fish over the weekend(and I couldn't).

However, I did knock off the new Field and Stream and the Michael Crichton manuscript finished by James Patterson titled Eruption. Other than that, I looked at a swollen and muddy East Branch. Fish will be hungry this week.

Heading up to the East Branch next Monday, expect flows to be back to normal by then and the fish will be hungry. Early weather reports are not very good, but doesnt look like a washout.

Fish are always hungry when I'm in town!

I'm not much of a reader. I might take a ride this coming Saturday.

Wish I could go back this weekend, conditions should be excellent. Should be some flying ants soon.

I'll check flows and temps on Friday night and make a decision then. Maybe I'll take my girlfriend, if my dog isn't feeling up to it.

Right now flows at Harvard are at 461cf/s, have been dropping steadily all week. I'll be there Mon to Wed, I'm sure things will be settled by then. Latest weather shows showers Monday, for Tues and Wed near ideal.
