The sink part deux!!!!

kindanewbie77

the sad old dog with no friends
I was up early on this windy Easter Sunday and decided to go to the church of the rod and reel! They were hosting services on the Neversink, and I needed some churchin this morning! Well after seeing the Dogfather pull a nice one out of there on friday, I figured i'd try my luck at the same spot. Not expecting much, I tied on a LaFontaine's Caddis emerger and an Orange and Partridge, and on the third drift through, this beauty came to hand. It was the only one of the morning, and the day but it was a beaut! Thanks again to Corn Doggie Dog for showing me the spot. Oh yeah got it on the dropper, the orange and partridge! It is the same fish in both pics, but he was pretty so thought i'd share him twice!

Hahahah .
Cmm maybe you should go to jersey try catch some fish .
Put them in your kitchen sink if you have one and fish that .Thats the closest you will come to catching something in your sink.

Very nice Kinda it is nice to catch a fish on a creation of your own glad to see you had a good day!! FISH ONNNN!!!!:)

Nice brownie newbie but are you being honest about that partridge and orange. I saw that 8' throw net in the back of your truck.

WTG!
The Dogfather (That's the best so far.)

Actually you only saw a corner, it was a 25 foot diameter cast net that I use in the salt to catch mullet!:give-the-finger:

I fished the Sink also. Someone keeps letting hair clog up the drain! On a serious note, I got 4 nice wild browns on nymphs. I can only imagine how it woulda fished if it were 5 degrees warmer and no wind. The rocks were covered in stoneflies, but no fish were rising. I'll post pics when I get them e-mailed to me.

Woah woah woah, license? Like a drivers license? You need a license to fish? WTF. next thing I know you will all be telling me I need different ones for every state i fish in.

Are you sure they were stones, on Friday there were caddis everywhere.

I'm not too familiar with the little black stoneflies, and I didn't look that closely, so yes blackish caddis would be possible. They were clinging to the rocks. I saw some tan caddis for sure, about size 14-16 and some creamy mayflies I didn't look at too closely. I felt more like fishing than investigating, so I just tied on a kaufmann stone + copper john tandem and the CJ beat the stone 3-1.

Pictures from Easter Sunday on the Neversink. Fishing beat the hell out of ham and Peeps, that's for sure!
