A year or two ago there was some car robberies of fisherman at a stream I frequent. I do not want to mention where so as not to give the wrong people ideas. I think it may be prudent in view of the economy and people needing quick cash not to leave anything in view in your cars. I would also suggest leaving some of the valuable things home if you are 90 percent sure you will not use them. Leave as little value in the car as possible. I am going out tomorrow and have removed from my bag those extra reels, boxes of flies and will longer take rods I will not need. If you break a rod there is always a flyshop that can lend you one. Better safe than sorry, its a new world out there,
