Stallion rod

I was going through my grandfathers shed and I came across an old fly rod and feel. The reel was garbage but the rod is in good shape. Its a ten foot Stallion Action rod. I was wondering if anyone has even seen and if its just garbage.

I though I actually saw someone fishing the gorge last weekend with the same rod

Take it to Shannons in Califon -- They know or no of someone that can give you an idea of what (If anything) the rod and reel is worth.

Personally I have never heard of the rod you mention but then again Im no expert when it comes to OLD RODS -- Im sure they can help you out -- If not they can send you in the right direction -- In fact they helped me out with a VERY OLD REEL -- A Horric Ibotson -- Wasnt worth much but it was very interesting to find out some history on it

Dan, yea ill keep ya posted. My father estimates the rod to be from the early 80's. But im gona bring it down to shannons for a better opinion
