Accessories SIMMS Freestone Pant waders..

Just ordered a pair after my Orvis waders starting leaking everywhere...I use the Orvis' about three hundred times...not bad..
The guy at SIMMS said they wouldn't warranty them after that amount of use, but would try to fix them......
So, anyone use these "pants"...they aren't Gore-Tex, but some other breathable stuff that is half the cost....They are harder to fix than Gore-Tex if torn, but I hope still a decent product...they are SIMMS after all....

They are not made in Montana and are no different that any other coated nylon or poly waders. Sac up and buy the G3's. Money is made to be spent, thats why they print more of it each day

Yes, I wet wade in the summer...summer starts June 21st....I will be fishing in the fall (September 23rd)...
...I will also be fishing in the winter (December 21st).....Better to be prepared......

I can't speak to the pants, but I had (have) the full waders. I got two hard years out of them, fishing all four seasons and probably used them at least 400 times. I walk a lot and go off trail most of the time. I can't complain one bit on their serviceability. They do now have a few leaks from all the multi-flora and I replaced them with the G3's. However when I get a chance, I'm going to send them in for repair to have as backups.

I bought a pair of G3 full waders this year on close out for $240. Come September 23rd and beyond, you should be able to find them for about that price, pants as well.

Well, when I need a new pair again, I will look into it....
McDonald's hasn't yet given me the $15.00 an hour.....

I have the normal freestone waders and I'm on my third season. I have had to put some aquaseal on a few spots where it got punctured by my holster when I busted my ass on the neversink.. Other than that they have been great!

I had freestones for three years and kicked the crap outta them. It didn't take long for the weekly aqua seal ritual to begin but I was soooo bad to those waders.

i bought the g4's this year. A seam high on my thigh leaked the very first time out, early spring, salmon river. Fucker. Other than that np's till two weeks ago at the beaver kill, both shins were wet. Normally I wouldn't send em back for that but the thigh seams on them, also two belt loops r gone, a Velcro tippet pocket closure is in pieces and the gaters on one boot are torn bad.

Well I got my pants.....They fit better than any other wading utensil I have ever used.......and there is a big ole' MADE IN CHINA right on the inside........we will see...hopefully Sunday or Monday......
