Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Shannon's Fly
To all,
I hope everyone is OK. The devastation is numbing. We don't have power back yet in Califon but Shannon's will be open for business tomorrow Saturday November 3rd at 8am. Not sure about the phone or website working but we will be open. Due to the power issues we will probably be cash only tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience. The river is in good shape and we figured everyone has a case of cabin fever after the last few days. Main problem wasn't flooding but wind. Rt 513 is open from Chester and Morristown. Also 513 is open from Rt 78 and 31 up to Califon. Gas stations seem to be keeping up with the demand now too. I also am pleased to announce the New Jersey Fly Fisherman of the Year One Fly Contest and Banquet is still on schedule. Send a pm if you have any questions.-Jim

We're getting back to normal??!! Let's hope so. I'm going to sit in a deer stand tomorrow and take my mind off the damage and the work left to be done in my yard...

The few guys who were out caught fish, scuds and eggs were popular and for me the always reliable woolly bugger. I spent most of my day going in and out of gas lines because today was my "odd" day for gas although those of you that know me will say that is just everyday. Gas is getting better and I hope that we can all get back to normal soon. For me, a little time fishing after all the post Sandy clean up and simply existing day to day has been a good thing.

Hey, Jimmy -- good to hear you guys are still there.

Lon Teter

Just got off the phone with Jim and the shop is closed right now because of lack of power in Califon and surrounding area and nobody seems to be out fishing (no big mystery there), so it doesn't pay to have someone sit in the shop all day staring at the walls. Let's hope we get power back for the shop soon!

Don't tell me that!!! My sister (the one who loaned me the generator) lives in Califon. I don't want her banging on my door tonight!
