Andre,
I went on a tour yesterday, West Branch above the reservoir, East Branch around Harvard, West Branch at Hancock and across the river in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, there were plenty of the two bugs pictured below around, the problem was they were not flying up and down, but only sideways, due to the wind. They were clinging onto me for dear life. So I snapped their pictures and sent them on their way. In all my scouting around, I saw one fish rise (East Branch) This was all between 2 and 5 PM, by the way.
Today, let's just say somewhere between Hale Eddy and Hancock,
there were more of the same two, plus some large stoneflies as well as a bunch of small tan caddis. There were a few risers (a FEW) and I was able to catch ONE 14-15 inch Brown.
To recap, LOTS of bugs seem to be around, but at least in the last two days, where I have been, very few rising fish.
