Yeah, I saw lots of people with fly rods. Precious few knew what they were doing with them. Just because they're fishing with fly rods doesn't mean that they know how to fly fish. Most of the time, they have them because they heard that the fly zones are loaded with fish, so they picked up a gander mountain combo for $70 and are flinging lead. My tip off is by watching how many spend the majority of their time yanking on snags - both below the surface and in the trees behind them. [elitist]And korkers duct-taped to duck waders [/elitist]
This will be snarky, but what was the last accurate report you posted anyway?

Merely pointing out the fact that the first report page was created by a gear fisherman. I thought this was a fly fishing forum, and know that wasn't me in the middle of the runs barley had to get my feet wet to catch my fish.

I wouldn't tell any of you where I am catching fish. You can figure that out on your own. It's part of being a good fisherman. Most of you like to be spoon fed because you have a hard enough time catching salmon, let alone steelhead.:nose-picking:

well obviously some of you have trouble finding those fish or else we would see a lot more pictures of the "fish that are in the river". I don't give reports anymore for a lot of reasons. If you want to know how the river is fishing, then go fishing.

Last time I checked the FF in NEFF stands for FLY FISHING. I have no trouble catching fish just don't need to prop myself up by posting pictures all the time. Who cares were your catching fish spend most of my time in the fly zones so I don't imagine I'll be seeing you much anyway. Hey carrot top( AK) is this the best you can come up with? Guess your mind is getting feeble and clouded from to many coronas.If you don't start putting a little more effort out it won't even be worth my time to come out and play.

The waterline will give you accurate releases.

And the Pineville gauge will give you the level. Got to the bottom of the page and look at the Most Recent Instantaneous Value.

Haha. It's ok that I know plenty of fly fisherman on that site that do just fine with numbers. They don't have the elitist snob attitude like many of you on this site have. Sorry I pick up more than one style of rod and like to fish using different techniques. I didn't know that was a crime. Apparently it is in the "fly fishing" community. I bet a good day for you is hooking two steelhead up there.

The water will most likely stay down at 335 through the weekend. If the runoff is still around this weekend it should be above 400 below pineville. With this low water and some salmon fisherman still around, you can bet they will be balls deep in the runs like they always are. Mid to low river had less pressure from bank anglers if you are looking for chrome. All the snaggers were hanging out in the upper river trying to rope any salmon still left swimming around.

Jesus tell me about it, it drives me crazy, it completely changes the way the fish move up the river. I just finished tying up some egg patterns. I've already bought my passes, im going to be hitting up the DSR.

See my reel was round in this picture, my line was bright, and I was running an egg pattern. Isn't this fly fishing? Oh wait, a centerpin was aorund before fly fishing.

I fish plenty of spots not just on the SR and catch plenty of steelhead, And I do it using nothing but a fly rod. If you don't like the eletist snob attitude that you say fly fisherman have why are you on a fly fishing forum. You sound like a typical GEAR fisherman.:looser:

Not so good with attention to detail are we. I said that many of the people on this site have the elitist snob attitude. And you sound like a typical elitist snob who just happens to hold a fly rod. I am such a gear fisherman I know. I have float gear, spin gear, fly gear. All kinds of gear that I use to catch fish.
I only wish that one day I can be as cool as you Trico Mike. Maybe one day I can learn to walk around with a stick up my ass and think I am better than everyone who isn't a fly fisherman.

Never said or even thought I was better then anyone. Just wondering why a centerpinner feels the need to be on a fly fishing forum. Do you want to be part of the elitest community and think because you use a round reel and bright colored line that it is tha same as fly fishing?

Just as an FYI, thanks to the attitude displayed on this thread, I'll no longer post any hints, recipes, or procedures for curing salmon roe. You know who to thank.
Additionally, you elitist snobs are stupid for using bows for deer, I can shoot so many more using my rifle and a salt block.
Also, people have reported trout in the lower, mid, and upper river.
