Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

sad.

.......... I've had fly-guys back-cast their fly to within inches of my face.........
What on earth were you doing that close?

Even if you don't care about how rude it is... If you're behind someone, don't assume he knows you're there... it's dangerous!

If you're just passing through, and can't climb the bank, whistle (or something) as you go by..... A hook in the eyeball won't be much fun.....

I was with him when he caught this fish, and he has put ALLOT of time in on the streams and never really got anything big so a little chest-pounding was due.We also released a dozen other fish that day up to 18".As to the fly fisherman comments mentioned in the post some of them are legit, 50% are cool and considerate the rest think they own the river and spin fisherman have no right on the streams. I've had fly-guys back-cast their fly to within inches of my face, I've seen them rush to their spots on a stream so I couldn't fish it,many times they have waded into holes that I have been fishing. We all fish the streams to enjoy the outdoors and maybe bag a few fish......cant we all just get along.

You started it.....nahneenahneenahnah.....:baby:

Ive had negative experiences with both types. When another guy enters my hole(fishing hole that is) i am always take the high road and back out and let them fish it. As i am exiting the river i look for the biggest rock i can throw and launch into the pool. And tell them to have a nice day. Another favorite of mine is to go up stream and drop a finless brown and watch it make its way down to my new buddy.

What if it's not a floater? What then?

You do realize this is neff? and you do realize your buddy caught a stocked fish? right?

Wait a minute! This is NEFF?, I thought this was NJFF, and this was Neff

One of my best fishing experiences was on a wilderness stream when we got to a stretch of 3-4 pools on a particular stream where we got in to hooking bull trout on nymphs. Monster bull trout. He handed me his new waterproof video camera to record the fight, the land & fish itself. I was following his ass up & down these quite slippery rocks making sure I got the best footage possible. He landed the most spectacular fish imaginable, a bright yellow-orangish and green bull all of 30". I even got footage of him removing the hook. I got great close up footage of this magnificent fish in shallow water from head to tail, zoomed-in as close as possible. After he released the fish, I realized I did not press the record button and no footage was taken! I felt (still do) so bad about that mishap. So my friend took all the necessary steps to ensure a video of his trophies but he fucked up and trusted me.

The nicest footage I've ever seen was his doing... On a quite remote wilderness stream hooking pacific chinook on dry flies and these fish jumping so high out of the water once hooked. Great footage.

Up until he said "this is one for my wall", I thoroughly enjoyed that video. I liked when he kept repeating "I hope this is a trout".

What are the chances that you hook into your biggest trout ever when the cameras are rolling?

It would have been a good gag to tell him at the end that there was no film in the camera. :)

i don't catch lotsa big trout but when I do I use one of these bad boyz to measure them.

Measures length and girth. I have 150 various replicas of fish I've caught and never had to kill one of them.

lay your fish flat on the surface and take a pic and send to taxi service.

Pros: very accurate, portable.
cons: little heavy

Notice this model is for "women's style shoes". They have a men's version of this device too. Believe it or not a mans inch is different than a females inch.

Is that why woman can't judge distance? I've also heard it was because their often told six inches is eight. Excuse me ladies, I thought I was in the barber shop for a minute.

Can't we all just get along? I'm a member over at the other site also, as I used to/still do saltwater fish.

The bullshit is ridiculous. Tell your friend to fuck off.

This quote jumped out at me when I saw it elsewhere earlier today:

"The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?" Lee Wulff
