quick report

just got back from a day in the catskills....fished around the WB, bkill, and willow. Experimented with nymph techniques on the wb and had a nice 17-18'' bow on for a bit and had a fiesty 12-14 inch bow on that threw the hook as well. Didn't see any bugs even though it was a balmy 50 degrees so I headed to the bkill. A few fish rising here and there, but nothing consistent. Lastly, went to the willow and bailed myself out of the skunk. Fish were rising well to midges, but wanted a fly in the film. Took 3 nice 14 inch browns and lost a couple dinks on midge pupa. It was a nice way to end the day and a treat to have some surface action this late in the season. No pics, was just messing around and didnt have high expectations so didn't bring the camera.

Wish i could have fished today.. It was so nice out!

I fished the Willow last weekend at hazel bridge and I had risers all day, tons of midges and a good amount of olives. Froze my nuts off though..

Tell you what... I cant wait for spring.

definitely man....I love steelie fishing but nothing beats being on the river in april with hendricksons and big browns everywhere after a long winter of anticipating the event.

Good to hear y'all are getting out...

Been fishing in shorts the past few days in Fla...sorry to if im rubbing it in, but the fly action was shitty this year...was dragging meat around all day with my Dad, not the best way to fish but its actually relaxing...just drink beer until a rod goes down...nailed a sailfish (my first) on our way out which was cool
