Hello Folks,

As you know, CCM stole my Loomix GLX and Glavan reel two weeks ago from my truck in the Neversink Gorge parking lot so he could sodomize his little sister.

I hope he treats it well.

With that said, I was in the market for a new stick. While I pulled the trigger on another GLX, I then canceled it. As a huge fan of the SAGE Z-AXIS and lots of coaxing from Fredy and Sneel, I picked up a ONE.

Since I'm a proponent of the buddy system, I also picked up another ONE.

10 for 5
10 for 6

My current 10 for 6 Z is going to pops for our Alaska trip.

Please still keep your eyes peeled for my former set up. I have my initials engraved into the reel.

TIGHT LINES!

NEVER.

I'm a Galvan and Nautilus guy.

HOWEVER, pops likes Hatch so you may see one on his stick come September when we come out to see you.

How's the butt fishing? beads? LOL

Surprised you didn't try an NRX being a Loomis guy. I'm a sage guy, but after throwing the NRX and the One, my next stick will be an NRX LP.

TZ,

I had an NRX but I'm not a fan. I cant get over how fucking hideous it is. Can me superficial, but fuck, that shit is ugly. My pops uses it now. It is a broomstick and I used it to chuck 250 streamer expresses. I have to say my Cross Current in the same weight chucks it just as nice.

Let me know how you like the LP.

You lost a rod and reel?

And ended up buying two new rods and two new reels?

How many new reels did you get?

A tragedy....

This thread is just great....

A chance to experience vicariously, for those of us who actually work for a living, what its like for a racist white boy who loses a rod and reel...

How does this one end?

Protesting for $15 an hour minimum wage for your fast food job doesn't count as working, unless you already have that fast food job.

While Im a conservative- I'll say a nieve position taken by many republicans is they ridicule the "minimum wage" movement in a manner that implies they are worthless when in reality we know that SOME (key word some) of these jobs are actually quite demanding, yet they also mock the unemployed and ask that they "get a job". Maybe god told them everyone should get a job because thats what good people do and as a result they preach it. In reality- the world works on the basis of incentive. At present- there is no incentive to work for a minimum wage that cannot support a person when you can get supported by the government. Like it or not- the way to lower the rate of government dependence is by making job positions more desirable and getting people off welfare and in turn lowering gov't spending and improving local/small business. Even more important- is the fact that a huge majority of the financial impact of a minimum wage increase would be absorbed by large corporations- and not small business since often small business keeps a small staff but pays well for good people. This is funny because while a few % of republicans are the rich that would be effected by a wage increase via a loss in earnings in the stock/compensation as a corporate officer or director, ect, most middle class republicans would actually benefit from a higher wage in that social spending would decrease and their middle class wage value would also be enhanced. Unfortunately, pride in " a hard days work and a days pay" prevents these people from conceding the issue- not because its right- but because it would benefit everyone except corporations and shareholders (mostly wealthy people and the "1%).

JC I tihnk some of what you say is accurate but you omit the data point that shows raising the minimum wage would also reduce employment. We forget that we live in a fairly technologically advanced era where many low wage jobs disappear when the costs to support those positions becomes too high. Automation is expected to supplant many of these jobs already. The problem with a federal mandate is its a one size fits all solution and many industries operate on razor thin margins. This is another policy area best left to the states and counties to manage. I could see a broader policy pegging wages to inflation but beyond that I think you have to let states manage their own economic well being.

Don't know how this took a political turn...but if you took away the egregious government subsidies, those minimum wage jobs may look a little more appealing, no?

Well you are going off the assumption that people dont want free money, food, health care etc. The reality is that there is a large population that does not want to work no matter what the pay is. They have made it their career to train themselves to know every government form, how to file, where to go etc. As a person who has a small business and employees, what do you think i have to do to cover the increase in my expenses? Or not just mine but any business for that matter? I have to increase my prices and if i cant do that then someone will have to be laid off. I can say that all of us on this board started out with some minimum wage job and worked our way out of that. The same can be done today. This is not about being a republician or democrat, this is just about plain common sense. Here is a thought, stop giving money to people collecting social security checks when they have not paid into it, Stop giving money when welfare professionals have more kids, Stop giving government money to someone who just came to this country so they can start their small business and so on. Then, there would be less taxes and more in everybodys paycheck, including those that decided McDonalds with be their life career choice.
