Planned to use em on the beaverkill yesterday but I only saw one October caddis all day and the windy conditions made doing anything tough.

October caddis - are there any Jersey rivers they are likely to be found on next couple of weeks? They tend to be nocturnal hatches unless it is very cloudy in my experience up north, but pupae always have worked fine if the bugs are on the specific river. An orange Breadcrust SH, a LaFontaine ESP in orange, size 10 or so has worked well out of this area for me in the past. Would appreciate some Jersey info, as am tied close to home next couple of weeks. Thanks

They're a standard hatch on pretty much all NJ trout streams. I've always done best with either nymphs or wet flies for that hatch and seldom if ever see them on the water during daylight hours.

Hey sunshine... those are some really great looking flies. If u sell them id be interested in ordering a few.

Thanks, but Ive got a long ways to go before Ill ever be good enough to sell these things.

That first sex dungeon took me 5 HOURS TO TIE!! No lie. I could not get that first clump of hair behind those eyes to spin to save my life!

Between time and materials that fly alone is worth about $150:rofl:

Ok......the cooler weather is driving me back to the vise, vice? To tie, tye? Some flies....

Here is a stonefly nymph...sonefly.jpg
This is a tribute to well, I'm sure you can all figure it outA tribute......jpgHappy Halloween:)

I also tied some soft hackle pheasant tails without the bead, but they are too small for me to get in focus on my phone camera.....I think it should work...any phone geeks out there that can help me with that? hmhmmh DC...It is a Samsungalaxy s4

My phone wont focus up close either. Back it up, take the pic and then crop it to close in. Thats what Ive been doing with all of mine.....too lazy to use a real camera.
