Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

My love for my team runs deep, deep as the Hudson in fact

Caught some small mouth in the Hudson Gorge and even saw a nice sized brook trout in shallow water

I have watched a brood of mantis babies grow up in my Japanese maple...this is the last one left, not sure if they eat each other, but they were centimeters large a few weeks ago and now this one is 3-4 inches long...........

what class rapids were those? Class 2? If you were in my raft, and not rowing when we were going thru the rapids as hard as your little muscles would allow you to, I'd drop kick you right out of the boat.

With that being said - I see a spin rod - catch anything?

Those might have been class 3, but there were plenty of class 4.

I brought the spin rod, wasnt about to risk my fly rod on that trip and casting would be impossible with the amount of ppl on the raft, so I got a 25$ spin rod.

Yeah I caught a few small, small mouths. Even saw a 12 inch trout

They are so wild looking. I don't know if they eat each other as juveniles, definitely do as mating adults.

We have raspberry bushes all around our yard and I have seen three in the last two weeks, patrolling for the other insects eating the berries and sheltering in the bushes. They do not generally like to be caught and handled. Ours are about three inches long as well.

Yes, they are very wary of your presence...Their heads can turn very sharply to watch you....and surprisingly quick! Someone should tie a Praying Mantis...Trico Mike maybe????
