Sharp belly scales on those things. My buddy hooked a huge hen this weekend and it rolled and snapped his leader on its belly scales. He's convinced that it was intentional and is now in awe of the brain power of a giant herring.
Say what you want , I can tell you one thing Paul had his hands full with that nice buck on a 5wt and 5x tippet . That thing took him right into the backing in a split second they are true sport on a fly rod. If you are up there and there is nothing going on they are not to hard to catch , just tye on a bugger and toss it in front of the pod and strip away they attack a fly with a vengeance and are hard fighters . A great way to fill the void when there is no dry fly action!
