My Bamboo Rod!

My Bamboo rod is Finished and Tim mailed it out yesterday. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing and fish it this weekend! I'll be sure to post photo's of the work.

I spoke with someone this past weekend and he mentioned that he knows a guy who owns 17 Zietak rods and whenever he finds one for sale, he buys it.

Hey Dennis,

I may be selling my brand new Wulff bamboo fly rod. 6 foot 1 piece, 5 weight. I'll have it at the Gathering and will be using it for the first time. If it and I are not suited to each other I'll let you know.

Welp... Got my new rod today!!! It's absolutely beautiful! Full intermediate wrappings, matching tips. It's a quad rod which means that instead of having 6 sides, it has 4.

My computer crashed and I'm in the process of getting it back up. As soon as I get some software back on here, I'll be able to start posting some photo's of it!

By the way, this rod casts like a dream. I can't wait to use it this weekend!

I've wondered how that rod acts. I've seen it at Hunter's Angler in NH and thought "a 6' 5 wt?" it's out of my league right now but I'd like to know how it casts. Since I won't make it home for that week you have to post a review. Much appreciation in advance and best of luck.

Dennis, congratulations. Maybe we can get together to fish some boo this weekend. Have a 5 wt and a 4wt I think you'll like. Be careful, I've heard it said once you've had boo you can't go back. Now if we could get a boo rod in joe's hands.
