Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Multi-Rotors!

I have this Multi-rotor copter that I plan on making some videos with. The first one I had, I crashed up pretty good. The second one flew away but luckily, I was able to find it in a swamp pit at Balls Eddy. Broke the landing gear, all the props, 1 engine, and the GPS. Needless to say, just before the damn thing flew away I was able to get some nice aerial of the West Branch.

I have my rig back together after spending a small fortune and I'm only missing a gimbal (controls the camera). I ordered one today. I can still strap a GoPro onto it and get decent footage. I think it would be pretty cool to get some aerial shots of some nice places in NJ tomorrow. Any ideas?

Hi,

Here are a couple of pictures from the early days of radio control picture taking.

You may want to get a BLADE Nano QX copter. It is a small copter I use to train. I can fly it in the office. The nice thing is that it has the same stabilizing technology as the big ones, so it is a good trainer.

Hi Dennis,

Be careful out there!!

I was informed by National Park Service that if I wanted to continue flying my planes/drones over the mainstem of the Delaware that I needed a permit to continue or risk fines and loss of equipment!!

I seriously thought they were joking when they told me that!!

Jim

PS: Still can't download pictures.

Hi,

I still can't upload pictures.

You still need a permit to use a drone for "research" purposes on the mainstem.

Perhaps that is why I can't post pictures. Dennis is preventing me from incriminating myself!!!!

Jim

Stick with your Nikon and get one of these! Let's see them catch you to check your permit.

It's been a while since I asked this question and since I asked, the drone world has become much larger.

Sooooo.... How many of you are flying drones and recording your outdoor life? I use mine all the time!
